Another Side is made by Hyperosa Studio. This page explains what hyperosa.com, the Another Side release site at anotherside.hyperosa.com and the game itself store, send and share.
Last updated October 20, 2026
The short version
- No accounts, no ads, and no analytics, tracking or crash reporting, on our sites or in the game.
- Your saves and settings stay on your device.
- The only cookies are the release site's 18+ confirmation and sign-in cookies, which it needs to work.
- We don't sell or share your personal information.
- Cloudflare hosts our sites and runs the release site's bot check. GitHub hosts the small file the game reads to check for updates.
hyperosa.com
This website is a set of plain pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and loads no third-party scripts or fonts: its pages, code and images all come from hyperosa.com.
The 18+ gallery asks you to confirm your age each time you open it. Your answer is not stored.
The release site
anotherside.hyperosa.com is where you play the game in your browser and download it. It uses two kinds of cookies. Both are signed so they can't be forged or altered, are sent only to anotherside.hyperosa.com, and can't be read by scripts.
hyperosa_age_consentrecords that you confirmed you are 18 or older, when that confirmation expires, and whether you passed the bot check. It is deleted when you close your browser and expires after 24 hours at most.hyperosa_entry_publicandhyperosa_entry_preview, one per build, are set when you open that build. They keep you on one release of the game for up to 7 days, so its files stay consistent while you play. If you entered a supporter access code, the cookie also holds the supporter number we gave your code.
Bot check
Before showing the Play page or a download, the release site may run Cloudflare Turnstile to check that you are not a bot. Turnstile runs Cloudflare's script in your browser, and Cloudflare receives information about your browser and device and your IP address to do this. We use only the result of the check. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
Supporter access codes
Patreon supporters receive an access code for the supporter build. We store each code only as a one-way hash, together with a supporter number, a note of who we issued it to, and when it was issued or revoked. To slow down guessing, attempts to enter a code are counted per IP address, one minute at a time.
The game
The game has no accounts, ads, analytics, crash reporting or cloud saves.
Saves and settings
Your saves, the character name you choose, the names you give your saves, and your settings (language, accessibility, controls and volume) stay on your device and are never sent to us. They are kept:
- in your browser's storage when you play in a browser or play the portable HTML release;
- in the game's
com.hyperosa.anothersidefolders in your user's app data on Windows and Linux; - in the app's private storage on Android.
If you export a save, the file includes your progress, character name and save names, and goes only where you send it.
When you play in a browser, the game also stores its own files in your browser so it starts faster and can run offline. It never sends notifications. The Android app asks only for internet access and vibration, and its data is excluded from Android's cloud backup.
Update check
The Windows, Linux, Android and portable HTML versions check for a new version each time you open the main menu. They download a small file from hyperosa-studio.github.io, which GitHub hosts, and compare versions on your device; nothing about you or your game is sent. As with any web request, GitHub sees your IP address and basic browser or app details (see GitHub's privacy statement). If a newer version exists, the game also checks that its download link on anotherside.hyperosa.com works. It downloads nothing unless you choose to, in your browser. The browser version does not check: it always opens the latest release.
Hosting
Cloudflare hosts hyperosa.com and anotherside.hyperosa.com and stores the game files you play and download. To deliver pages and files and protect them from abuse, Cloudflare processes your IP address and request details such as the page or file requested and your browser's user agent, under its own privacy policy.
Other sites
Links to Patreon, Reddit, X and other sites take you off our sites. Their own privacy policies apply there, including when you support us on Patreon.
Adults only
Another Side and these sites are for adults aged 18 or older. They are not meant for anyone younger, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.
Your choices
You can delete the release site's cookies in your browser at any time; you will be asked to confirm your age again.
To delete your game data, clear the site data for anotherside.hyperosa.com in your browser, uninstall the Android app, or delete the game's com.hyperosa.anotherside folders from your app data on Windows or Linux. Uninstalling on Windows keeps your saves, so you don't lose them when you update.
If you are a supporter, we can revoke your access code and delete its record on request. For this or any other privacy question, message us on X or Reddit.
If this page changes, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
